Why ending equity belongs in the total
Money spent on a car is not all gone: part of it becomes equity. Two cars can cost the same in cash over three years yet leave you owning very different amounts at the end. Carvest counts both, so a cheaper-looking path that leaves you with less is not mistaken for the better deal.
How Carvest reaches a recommendation
- Financial Tradeoff — the 36-month cash you spend on each path, plus the equity you would hold at the end.
- Upgrade Score — how much of a real step up the replacement is: age and mileage, reliability, running costs and equipment.
- Your Fit — how well the replacement matches the priorities and buying mindset you choose.
- Carvest Recommendation — keep or buy, combining the three with your mindset.
